Turkey accuses Germany of 'fascist actions' against Turks

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan accused Germany of "nazi practices" after authorities canceled political rallies intended to show support for Turkish citizens in the country. Erdogan said at a rally in Istanbul. German politicians were outraged by Erdogan's comments, suggesting they intended to provoke a reaction from Berlin. German Justice Minister Heiko Maas called Erdogan's remarks "absurd, disgraceful and outlandish." Authorities canceled two rallies in German cities last week, which were intended to garner support for Turkish citizens, on national security grounds.
