Essa travessia é feita em 3 à 4 horas através do antigo sistema funicular, onde os trens que vinham e iam para Cubatão, eram puxados por cabos de aço. Essa trilha virou história. São 12 pontes despedaçadas suspendas em uma altura que varia de 10 á 80 metros, onde o nível de segurança é 0 por cento. Essa trilha é um museu ao ar aberto, onde que as casas de máquina ainda guardam suas relíquias do século retrasado e ainda em bom estado.
