Three-wheel car turns into a flying gyrocopter

RAAMSDONKSVEER, THE NETHERLANDS — Dutch company PAL-V has designed a car that can fly you out of traffic jam.

The PAL-V Liberty can easily shift from flight mode to drive mode. The car is about the size of a regular car and can hold two people.

The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 9 seconds. Its lowered suspension system allows it to tilt when going into curves.

The PAL-V Liberty has a maximum operating altitude of 3,500 meters. The manufacturer suggests using a runway of at least 280 meters in length for take-off, though the car can land on an airstrip that is significantly shorter.

Both a driver’s license and a pilot’s license are required to operate the vehicle.
