Giants cut ties with veteran Victor Cruz

Victor Cruz made a name for himself with the New York Giants, but it appears that the team is ready to part ways with him after an injury-plagued career. The Giants released Cruz Monday in a cost-cutting measure that will save the team $7.5 million in cap space. His breakout 2011 campaign -- where he caught 82 passes for 1,536 yards -- greatly contributed to the Giants' Super Bowl XLVI win over the New England Patriots. Cruz tallied 39 passes for 586 yards and a touchdown in 2016 and spent his entire seven-year career with the Giants.
