Trump On Warren: 'Pocahontas Is Now The Face' Of Democratic Party

President Trump reportedly told a group of U.S. Senators that “Pocahontas is now the face of your party” while referencing Senator Elizabeth Warren.

President Trump reportedly mocked Senator Elizabeth Warren by telling her Democratic colleagues that “Pocahontas is now the face of your party.”
Citing unnamed sources, Politico says he made the Native American reference multiple times on Thursday during a closed door meeting with U.S. senators which was supposed to be about his Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch.
Instead, Trump is said to have begun talking about the Democratic party and Warren's criticism of Jeff Sessions during a debate on his nomination.
An insider told CNN that Trump calling her Pocahontas, a nickname he started during the campaign, was, in their words, “equal parts bizarre and completely awkward.”
He also reportedly attributed her Native American claims to her “high cheekbones.”
According to the Washington Post, "Warren has claimed Cherokee and Delaware Indian heritage, but the only proof so far seems to be stories she says she heard from family members as a child."
During the same meeting, Trump is said to have repeated unsubstantiated allegations that millions voted illegally in the election in November.
Despite this contention, CNN previously reported, based on information from a top official, that a Justice Department investigation into alleged voter fraud “is no longer a top priority for the President.”
