Rikers inmate slash man with blade then stuff it up their butt

NEW YORK — Rikers Island inmates were recently filmed attacking another prisoner with scalpels and then ramming the blades up their butts.
Footage obtained by the New York Daily News shows the moment murder suspect Ernest Jones was cut in the face and back. The men who attacked him were identified as Blood gang members Michael Walcott and Ramsey Faisal.
The scalpels were reportedly stolen by Faisal himself when he worked at a hospital. He had women smuggle them into Rikers.
Both attackers will most likely face charges for the Jan. 18 attack, the Daily News reported citing sources.
Scalpels are an inmates’ weapon of choice, as they can be topped with a pen cap, then stashed up their buttocks, the Daily News reported citing officials.
Rikers officials told the Daily News incidents like this could be detected if they could use body scanners, but state law prevents them from doing so.
