Trump Calls Louvre Attacker 'A New Radical Islamic Terrorist'

President Trump tweeted his reaction to Friday’s suspected terrorist incident near the Louvre in Paris, telling America to "get smart."

On Friday, a machete-wielding attacker targeted police near the Louvre in Paris, causing minor injury to one officer. The incident is being investigated as a possible terrorist attack, reports the Associated Press.
President Trump responded to the attack via Twitter.
Friday morning he wrote, “A new radical Islamic terrorist has just attacked in Louvre Museum in Paris. Tourists were locked down. France on edge again. GET SMART U.S.”
According to authorities, the motivation or affiliation of the individual is as yet unconfirmed, though it has been reported that in committing the act, the man shouted “Allahu akbar."
Authorities fended off the aggressor by firing a number of shots, notes euronews.
A spokesperson for the Paris police said, “He is wounded in the stomach. He is conscious and he was moving.”
