Electric Bus Company Raises $140 Million In Funding

Proterra says its buses can go 350 miles on city streets on just a single charge and fully recharge itself using kinetic energy generated by its braking system. Along with the obvious environmental benefits, investors and consumers like the low maintenance costs associated with electric vehicles. So far the Company says it has sold more than 300 vehicles and has plans to ramp up production.
