A funny video has emerged of a dog sitting on a couch appearing extremely guilty after eating her owner's food while he was outside the house.

The footage, shot in San Diego, CA, USA last month, shows the two-year-old yellow labrador sitting on a sofa with her eyes closed and her back bent as her owners scolds her.

"While she has little to no history of eating food off of the counter she felt EXTREMELY guilty for having spoiled the pot roast we were thawing out...and it's written all over her face," the owner wrote online.
