Journalists will reportedly not be allowed to enter the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C during the inauguration week.

Journalists will reportedly not be allowed to enter the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. "during inauguration week."
In an email to Politico's Daniel Lippman, Patricia Tang, director of sales and marketing of the hotel, stated, “Media is not allowed in this week in respect of the privacy of our guests.”
In fact, Lippman says he experienced the restriction first hand when he told the hotel staff about his profession after being stopped at the entrance. He tweeted Wednesday morning, “I tried to have breakfast at the Trump Hotel in DC w/ friends. But bc I'm a journalist, I was banned from going in.”
Matea Gold, a Washington Post reporter, also tweeted, "Denied entry to Trump International. Guests only."
Controversy has since ensued, with critics pointing out that the hotel is on U.S. government property and is simply being leased by the Trump family.
The Hill notes that the journalists have also raised concerns "...about what kind of access they will have to Donald Trump's incoming administration when the president-elect assumes office later this week."
