China, Europe make greater shift to electric cars

Stricter emissions regulations in China and Europe are pushing in favor of electric cars. In Europe, green cars benefit from subsidies and tax breaks, while other vehicles face penalties and parking restrictions. China, which also struggles with major pollution, is favoring plug-in vehicles to combat the country's growing fossil fuel epidemic. In the U.S., electric-only vehicles declined by 0.37 percent in 2016 due to cheap fuel.
