IWB vs OWB Holsters - Concelaed Carry vs Open Carry

Welcome to another Alien Gear Holsters - http://aliengearholsters.com original concealed carry training video. In this episode, we will compare IWB Holsters vs OWB holsters and dive deeper into concealed carry vs open carry by covering five key decision points including:

• Open Carry vs. Concealed Carry
• IWB Holsters vs. OWB Holsters
• Concealment
• Confidence

In order to determine the right gun and carry preference, let’s go over these key points. By the end of this video, you should have a better grasp of which holster type would work best in your personal life. Let’s begin.

1.) Open Carry vs. Concealed Carry

This comes down to your personal view on carrying a gun openly as opposed to keeping it concealed. Some consider open carrying a deterrent to crime, whereas others believe that concealed carry allows you the element of surprise. You may want to ask yourself what makes you feel safer?

2.) IWB Holster vs OWB Holster

This is more important than people may think. It’s absolutely crucial to acquire a gun holster with a high level of daily carry comfort. If you’re not comfortable with your pistol holster, you’ll never wear it. Period. Even outside the waistband gun holsters can be uncomfortable, especially if they weigh down your belt and sag. We recommend investing in a quality leather gun belt in order to properly support an OWB Holster.

3.) Gun Holster Concealment

This ties back to our first point. Would you prefer to conceal carry? If so, your best bet is an IWB holster. These inside the waistband holsters are designed to be worn underneath a layer of clothing in order to prevent others from knowing you’re carrying. Some OWB holsters also have the ability of being concealed if worn with the proper clothing.

4.) Concealed Carry Confidence

We consider this the “deciding factor” in purchasing a holster. If you’re not 100 percent confident in your abilities with either holster, this may prove to be disastrous in a defensive situation. To gain confidence with either an IWB or OWB holster, you may want to take time to wear it around. Get familiar with it. As long as you wear the correct clothing with a holster that can contour to your side with ease, you should be good.

We hope these points prove to be useful in your holster buying process. Thank you for watching another Alien Gear Holsters video. For more useful information about holsters, visit the links below for more information.
