A Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) commuter train derailed at Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn, New York, this morning. Officials said 76 people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Passengers told TV news crews on the scene that there was a loud bang and a jolt that sent some people flying. The first car of the train left the track, but no others were affected, FOX5 reported. The LIRR tweeted only that customers should expect delays in and out of the transit hub "due to an incident" at the terminal.
