Trump slams General Motors, threatens 'border tax'

President-elect Donald Trump blasted General Motors on Twitter, threatening to implement a border tax on models made overseas. Following Trump's tweet, the automaker's stocks fell approximately one percent or a quarter billion dollars in value. GM quickly fired back noting that most Chevrolet Cruze vehicles are built in the U.S. and sells only a few Mexican-made Chevy's in the states. "All Chevrolet Cruze sedans sold in the U.S. are built in GM's assembly plant in Lordstown, Ohio. GM builds the Chevrolet Cruze hatchback for global markets in Mexico, with a small number sold in the U.S.," the company said in a statement.
