President Obama confirms official farewell adress

President Barack Obama confirmed his official farewell speech, which will take place on January 10 from his home city of Chicago. "I'm thinking about them as a chance to say thank you for this amazing journey, to celebrate the ways you've changed this country for the better these past eight years, and to offer some thoughts on where we all go from here," Obama wrote in an official blog post. Obama is following the example set by George Washington 220 years ago. He has previously noted that while he won't become involved in every topic once out of the White House, he will speak out to protect American values. Obama's presidential library will also be in Chicago, as an ode to where he got his first start in politics.
