Shah Rukh Khan Drops Plans To Make Film On Mahabharata

Actor Shah Rukh Khan had expressed a desire, last year, to make a film based on 'Mahabharata' and that he wanted to essay the character of Karna. However, sources reveal that after learning that director Rajkumar Santoshi had plans to base his next on the epic, Khan dropped his plans.
Sources further added that when Shah Rukh Khan's 'RA.One' was getting ready for release, he was keen to make another science fiction film and had informed his team to work on the lines of 'Mahabharata'. However, the plan has been dropped now. Shah Rukh Khan too, was recently quoted saying that a costume drama takes a lot time since you have to get a certain look.
The actor is busy with his upcoming home production, 'Chennai Express', and will soon begin work on Farah Khan's 'Happy New Year'.
