Vikramaditya Motwane: 'Lootera is inspired by 'The Last Leaf', it's not its adaptation'

The makers of 'Lootera' recently unveiled the trailer of the film and it's creating a lot of buzz among the audiences already.
The film is inspired by celebrated writer O. Henry's famous short story, 'The Last Leaf' and the director of the film Vikramaditya Motwane claims that there is a lot of novelty in 'Lootera's screenplay.
At a recently held event, Motwane said, "The Last Leaf' is a four page short story, this is a two hour plus film so a lot of it is inspired but there's a lot that is new, fresh and has changed. It's inspired by 'The Last Leaf' but it's not an adaptation of the story. We have taken the theme but it's our own film and our own screenplay."
'Lootera' stars Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles and is slated to release on July 5, 2013.
