Deepika Padukone Claims Playing A South Indian In Chennai Express Was Challenging

Although she is a South Indian, Deepika Padukone claims that playing a Tamilian character in her upcoming film 'Chennai Express' was the biggest challenge she faced, while shooting for the film.
At the first look launch of the movie when DeePee was asked what was the biggest challenged that she faced during the filming of the movie, the actress said, 'The character itself, being a South Indian I have played different kinds characters, I have always been associated with the urban rom-com stories so it was the first time I got to play a proper South Indian, Tamilian girl so the accent, the look, the environment everything is a first for me and the fact that I'm also working with Rohit for the first time.'
Directed by Rohit Shetty 'Chennai Express', will see padukone opposite her 'Om Shanti Om' co-star Shah Rukh Khan.
