Alia Bhatt Bagged 'Highway' Because Of Ranbir Kapoor

Actress Alia Bhatt, who made her acting debut with Karan Johar's campus romance 'Student Of The Year', will be next seen opposite Randeep Hooda in Imtiaz Ali's 'Highway' and it seems that she has to thank Ranbir Kapoor for bagging the role. In an interview, the Bhatt babe candidly admitted that it was Ranbir, who spoke about Alia to Ali, following which, she was approached for the role and things fell into place. Reportedly, in 'Highway', Alia will be seen in a very de-glam avatar, which will be very unlike her glam role in 'SOTY'. Apart from 'Highway', Alia will also be seen opposite Arjun Kapoor in '2 States', opposite Ranbir Kapoor in 'Jagga Jasoos' and opposite Varun Dhawan in 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania'.
