Ranveer Singh To Play Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao

Years ago Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to cast Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in his magnum opus Bajirao Mastani but with the couple falling apart, the project too got stalled but now the film is back in news. Although names of four stars -- Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan and Ranveer Singh were being tossed around, we have heard that Singh is the frontrunner for Bajirao's role and he is already in talks with SLB. A source has been quoted saying that unless there's some last minute hitch, it's almost certain that Ranveer will play the protagonist. The source has further revealed that whoever would be signed for the film, as the male lead, will have to commit a year exclusively to the project, for shooting and promotions. But that's not all, the actor, who will play Bajirao, will also have to shave off his hair and sport a choti for the film. Reportedly, Ranveer is quite excited about the film and is currently working on his dates and will most probably dedicate 2015 to Bajirao Mastani.
