Akshay Kumar: 'Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh are the next superstars'

While actors usually refrain from praising their younger contemporaries publically, Akshay Kumar lavished praise on Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh at a recently held event. At the trailer launch of Fugly, the actor said, "People like Ranbir and Ranveer are doing very good work and in my eyes they are the next superstars and they are superstars actually." He also said that newcomers today are very smart and don't need anyone's support to succeed. "When we were new in the industry, we needed support but newcomers of today don't need our support. They are so fit, they are so good, they are mentally so balanced and they are professionally much better than us. They are very tech savvy, they know what they want, what they don't, we don't need to teach them as they already know everything. So the only support they need is that of their families," he stated at the do. Fugly is being produced by Kumar and has been directed by Kabir Sadanand.
