A police officer in Menomonie, Wisconsin recently performed a public service that is not likely among those he typically conducts.
He helped a student tie his necktie.
The two met when Officer Martin Folczyk pulled the University of Wisconsin-Stout student for speeding, reports ABC News.
The officer quickly learned that the driver was running late for a presentation, had no idea how to tie a proper knot, and was frantically seeking out a friend who could help.
Officer Folczyk became that friend, working on the neckwear while the young man retrieved his license and registration.
The November 30 encounter, which ended with a speeding warning, was recorded by the patrol car dashcam.
That footage was recently posted on the Menomonie Police Department’s Facebook page.
