Islamic State claims responsibility for Berlin truck attack

Islamic State claimed responsibility for an attack in which a truck ploughed into crowds in a Christmas market and killed 12 people. "Security sources to Amaq agency: The man who carried out the vehicular attack in Berlin, Germany, is a soldier of the Islamic State. He carried out the operation in response to calls to target nationals of the coalition countries," the social post released on Tuesday read. Germany's interior minister said that despite the claim, investigators were following various leads.
