Russian ambassador to Turkey shot and killed in Turkish capital

The Russian ambassador to Turkey, Andrey Karlov, was shot in Ankara, the Turkish capital, on Monday. Karlov, who has been the Turkish ambassador since 2013, was giving a speech at an art exhibit when he was shot in the back multiple times. According to reports from Turkish news agency Anadolu, police quickly swarmed the scene and killed the attacker but have yet t determine the reasons behind his actions. At least three people were wounded and taken to the hospital. Karlov's current condition is unknown.
