New Record Set! Bajrangi Bhaijaan Becomes Salman Khan’s Eighth Film To Hit A Ton

Salman Khan, whose latest release Bajrangi Bhaijaan crossed the 100 crore mark in its opening weekend itself, has set a new record by becoming the only Bollywood actor to give eight 100 crore films, that too in a row!

Here’s a list of Salman’s 100 crore grossers:

Dabangg: Salman’s 2010 release, Dabangg gave him a new identity and became his first movie to enter the prestigious 100 crore club. The film, which marked Sonakshi Sinha’s acting debut, collected close to Rs. 139 crore.

Ready: The actor’s 2011 superhit film Ready grossed Rs. 120 crore (approx.) at the domestic BO.

Bodyguard: Salman gave yet another blockbuster in 2011 - Bodyguard, in which he was seen romancing Kareena Kapoor Khan. Bodyguard earned Rs. 149 crore in the domestic market.

Ek Tha Tiger: Kabir Khan-directed Ek Tha Tiger starred Salman opposite his then girlfriend Katrina Kaif and the film set a new record by collecting Rs. 199 crore. A crore more and it would have entered the 200 crore club (sigh!).

Dabangg 2: Sequel to Dabangg, Dabangg 2 did better than its predecessor and raked in Rs. 155 crore.

Jai Ho: Though Jai Ho received brickbats from the critics, Salmaniacs set the cash registers ringing and the film went on to collect Rs. 116 crore. Jai Ho marked the debut of Daisy Shah.

Kick: Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick became the first Salman Khan starrer to cross the 200 crore mark. The film also starred Jacqueline Fernandez and Nawazuddin Siddiqui and earned Rs. 232 crore.
