Trump to pick ExxonMobil chief Rex Tillerson as secretary of state

President-elect Donald Trump is expected to name his secretary of state Rex Tillerson, who is currently the chief executive of ExxonMobil. Tillerson is known for developing global partnerships with world leaders, namely Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump's spokesman Jason Miller noted that there would be no official announcement about the pick for secretary of state until this coming week "at the earliest." Trump is also considering nominating John R. Bolton for deputy secretary of state, a former United Nations ambassador, according to officials.
