Report: ABC Trying To Woo Megyn Kelly

Vanity Fair has cited an insider source who claims that ABC is pursuing a possible deal with Fox News star Megyn Kelly.

Megyn Kelly may have an extra incentive to leave Fox News for another major network.
Citing an inside source, a recent Vanity Fair report states, “ABC has renewed, and perhaps sweetened, its effort to woo Kelly.”
It goes on to reveal, in part, that “...at one point, in an overture, Kelly was shown a recruitment presentation depicting the so-called legends of ABC, which...ended with [an image] of Kelly.”
While a spokesperson for the company has denied these claims, Kelly's spokesperson, Leslee Dart, is quoted as saying, “The fact of the matter is that fortunately Megyn Kelly has been presented with more opportunities than ever before.”
One of them could be with CNN, as network President Jeff Zucker is reportedly pursuing her for a key role but is said to be unable to match Fox’s salary offer of $20 million a year, notes the Drudge Report.
The Wall Street Journal reported in late October that according to inside sources, Kelly is "...set to receive about $15 million."
The media outlet further noted, "...people familiar with the matter said...she is seeking an average annual salary north of $20 million for her next contract—which would put her on par with Fox host Bill O’Reilly."
O'Reilly's show, 'The O’Reilly Factor,' is the only Fox News program to have higher ratings than 'The Kelly File.'
Kelly's current contract is set to end in July 2017, reports The Hill.
