French PM named Cazeneuve as Manuel Valls resigns

France's President François Hollande named Bernard Cazeneuve as the new prime minister until the presidential election in May. Cazeneuve, who was interior minister, replaced Manuel Valls after his announcement that he is resigning in order to run for president. Bruno Le Roux replaces Cazeneuve as interior minister and is president of the socialist group. Cazeneuve, 53, became known in France in 2012 when he was named government spokesman. France will hold legislative elections in June after the two-round presidential election in April and then in May.
