Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter and YouTube unite against ‘terrorist content’

Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter and YouTube are individually considered to be influential forces, so just imagine what they can achieve if they work together. A cooperation is exactly what they have in mind in order to target terrorist content and limit it from spreading online. In an announcement in its newsroom, Facebook explained that content will be hashed using unique digital fingerprints, which makes identification and removal more easily handled by their computer systems and algorithms. While the effort is beginning with the top social sites, the hope is to open this database for other companies to use in the future.
