Following rave reviews at Fantastic Fest a few months back, Andre Ovredal’s “The Autopsy of Jane Doe” was quickly picked up and is now hitting both selected cinemas from December 21st and VOD from the day before – December 20th. Today a new trailer is out and if you’re not already onboard this should help – though this is said to give a bit too much away.
Brian Cox stars as a veteran coroner and Emile Hirsch as his son and assistant. The coroner is grieving after the loss of his wife, the son is considering leaving the family business. It’s then a mysterious, unidentified young woman’s body is brought in for autopsy. Working through the night, they slowly discover that there is something incredibly wrong with what is on their table.
