Reince Priebus On Trump’s Tweet That Millions Voted Illegally: ‘It’s Possible’

Reince Priebus stated on CBS’ ‘Face the Nation’ that "it’s possible" that millions voted illegally in the presidential election, a claim Trump made on Twitter.

Donald Trump’s pick for White House chief of staff is defending president-elect's claims that millions of people may have voted illegally in the presidential election.
Reince Priebus made the comments on Sunday during an appearance on CBS' “Face the Nation.”
At one point during the interview, host John Dickerson asked, referring to Trump, “What do you do when he says something like ‘millions of voters voted illegally in California’ when you know that’s not true?”
Dickerson was referring to a November 27 tweet by the president-elect which states, “In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.”
Priebus responded to Dickerson by saying, “Well, I don’t know if that’s not true, John….I saw that there was an article in the Wall Street Journal the other day and it had a certain percentage of people that are voting that shouldn’t be voting. There are estimates all over the map on that.  And here’s the problem--no one really knows.”
Dickerson pressed the issue, asking him, “You think millions of people voted illegally? There's no evidence...”
Priebus responded, “It’s possible.”
The Vice President-elect also defended the same controversial tweet on ABC’s “This Week.”
After George Stephanopoulos read it on air and claimed it was false, Mike Pence said, “I think the president-elect just wants to call to attention the fact that there has been evidence over many years of voter fraud…”
Pence eventually stated, “It's his right to express his opinion as President-elect of the United States…He tells you what’s on his mind.”
