Nissan preps for global unveiling of internet-connected cars in 2017

Nissan is planning to have internet-connected cars in most countries by 2020. The Japanese automaker will offer an option in some new vehicles that uses big-data technology to notify drivers of things like vehicle maintenance. Nissan is expected to begin rolling out the the service in Japan and India in 2017. Nissan also plans on marketing the device required to access the service, which would be able to be placed in existing models. Ford and Toyota already have similar plans in place for upcoming vehicles.
