Not many people live to see their 117th birthday party, but Emma Morano is doing just that. Morano, who is thought to be the last living person to have been born in the 1800s, celebrated the huge milestone at her home in Italy. Born in 1899, the secret to her longevity might be down to her love of eggs and repetition. Sadly there were no other family members at the party as Emma Morano has outlived all her eight brothers and sisters.
