The blessings upon the Muslims makes hypocrites suffer with jealousy and their faces darken

ADNAN OKTAR: Regarding the hypocrites, Almighty God says - I seek refuge in God from satan; "Debasement will darken them….  It is as if their faces were covered by dark patches of the night... (Surah Yunus, 27). Hypocrites' faces take on such an expression. Just watch the faces of hypocrites when a boon comes to Muslims. I am telling you one of the moments that you can best identify a hypocrite. Take a look at the face of hypocrites when a boon comes to a believer or a group of believers. Or take a look at the face of someone you suspect to be a hypocrite. You will immediately discern if that person is a hypocrite or not as their face will darken with agony. A believer's face will brighten with happiness, right? Hypocrites' faces take on an expression of agony. Look, people ask, "How can we identify hypocrites?" I am telling you the way to identify them. Look, if it is a miracle you want, a miracle is what I am telling you. You can try if you wish. For example, offer a boon to Muslims, or to a nice person or a community. You will see the exemplary expression of debasement and malice their faces take on, which is a miraculous phenomenon. They cannot help themselves. "Their faces become dark," says God in the Quran.

Hypocrites are never thankful for a boon, a blessing; this also gives them away. People are asking, "How can we discern, identify hypocrites?" I am counting the signs of hypocrisy. When a boon comes to them, they never say, "Thank God, or alhamdulillah [Praised be God]." Hypocrites believe themselves to be already entitled to it. They do not believe that God granted it to them. They believe they deserved it. Thus, they do not thank and praise God for it. You ask for the signs of hypocrisy and I am telling you. These are tangible signs. People often ask me, "How can we identify hypocrites?" I am giving you quite tangible signs. They never thank God for the boons they receive. Or worse, they find a fault with the boon. Or they become upset by the fact that a boon comes to believers. And they do not thank or praise God when they receive a boon. In other words, they are not thankful people. The fact that they are not thankful of God is repeatedly emphasized in various verses of the Quran.
