Shy Kiwi Spotted During Daylight in Rare Sighting

This kiwi, a flightless bird, was out foraging on a public path at the Heaphy Great Walk when it got spooked after coming across a group of trampers on November 19.According to the New Zealand government, the kiwi is nocturnal, so this was an exciting sight for the walkers, who were lucky to catch the rare sighting on camera.
