Facebook drone crash prompts safety investigation

United States safety officials are investigating Facebook after the company's "Aquila" internet drone ended in a crash landing. The crash caused by the drone resulted in "substantial damage," Bloomberg reported. The solar-powered drone was developed by Somerset after Facebook bought the aerospace company Ascenta in 2014. Facebook previously noted they experienced a structural failure before landing back in June.
