Good samaritans and police officer rescue boy who fell into icy lake

A dramatic video has emerged from China of a good samaritans and a police officer rescuing a boy after he fell into an icy lake.
The video, filmed in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province last Sunday, shows a man and a police officer crawling on ice-covered lake and using a rope to try and pull the boy out of the freezing water.
According to local news, the boy dropped something onto the surface of the icy lake when he was walking on the bridge above and ran across the lake to get it back.
However, the ice was not solid enough to support him and he fell through it.
The boy was eventually rescued and sent to hospital.
