On Wednesday, Corey Lewandowski, former Trump campaign manager, said FBI Director James Comey's letter helped the GOP clinch the win, reports The Hill.
When speaking to a crowed gathered at the Oxford Union he said, “With eleven days to go [in this election cycle] something amazing happened. The FBI’s director, James [Comey] came out on a Friday and he said they may be reopening the investigation into Crooked Hillary’s emails.”
According to Lewandowski, the announcement, “…allowed the campaign a little spring in their step, and for them to redouble their efforts."
He continued, “In those last eleven days, Mr. Trump was exceptionally disciplined. He used a teleprompter, and he did less media. The team used social media like no campaign in history. And then, Donald Trump won the election campaign by the largest majority since Ronald Reagan in 1984.”
During his address, Lewandowski also called climate change a “scam” and, like Trump, insisted Mexico will be paying for the border wall, reports the Huffington Post.
