President-elect Donald Trump requested security clearance for son-in-law Jared Kushner, according to NBC News. The request, which could take weeks, would allow Kushner to sit in on Trump's presidential daily brief, although not an official White House staff member. Trump received his first briefing on Tuesday and requested that both Kushner and Ret. Gen. Michael Flynn as his staff-level companions for the briefings going forward, NBC said. Trump also allegedly requested security clearance for his adult children, despite an anti-nepotism law which prohibits presidents from hiring immediate family members.
