Believers love God more than anything

ADNAN OKTAR: In the 165th verse of the Surah al-Baqara, Almighty God says, "Some people set up equals to God, loving them as they should love God." For example these people love their wives, their children or their friends as they should love God. Or they hold their jobs, their possessions, or their love towards themselves in higher esteem than God. "But those who have faith have greater love for God." (Surah al-Baqara, 165) Muslims love God more than anything. This is what God says in the 165th verse of the Surah al-Baqara. "But those who have faith have greater love for God," says God.
In the 31st verse of the Surah Al 'Imran, God says; "Say, ‘If you love God, then follow me and God will love you and forgive you for your wrong actions. God is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.’" (Surah Al 'Imran, 31) In the religion of Islam, the love towards God is crucial. It is stated as a vital form of worship.
One of our viewers says, "Love is something else. God is not to be loved, but to be worshiped." You say, "God is not to be loved, He is to be worshiped." But in the verse of the Quran, God talks about loving God. He tells the believers to love God; your love of God should be greater than anything. I am sure this viewer do not read or study enough. One's love towards God should not be austere. Because as far as I understand, he does not love God, he thinks God should only be worshiped. But your outlook contradicts the verse of the Quran. Look, God says, "But those who have faith have greater love for God."(Surah al-Baqara, 165) This is a verse of the Quran. “If you love God, then follow me and God will love you and forgive you for your wrong actions," (Surah Al 'Imran, 31) says God in another verse. If you are oblivious to these verses and speaking arbitrarily, it is not valid. As far as I see, everyone has an arbitrary conception of religion. This is wrong. Your conception of religion should be in line with the Quran. What is worse is that, he began his message with a heated tone, angrily. He is accusing me of being clueless. So, do you know better than God? What I tell you is based on the Quran. But you have no knowledge of the Quran. This is how their understanding of debate is. They base their arguments on presumptions. And they say things like "No way man, it’s, like, impossible." They always use an impertinent language. Speaking this way does not befit young girls in particular. It became widespread as the youth imitated each other.
