Sixteen years ago The Simpsons predicted that Donald Trump would become President of the United States. In March, writer Dan Greaney told The Hollywood Reporter: "It was a warning to America." Earlier this year Simpsons creator Matt Groening told The Guardian they used Trump because he was "the most absurd placeholder joke name that we could think of."
