In it's final episode that aired in 2015, NBC hit comedy Parks and Recreation predicted the Chicago Cubs would win the World Series in 2016. The episode, which took place in 2017, mentioned that everyone in Chicago was happy because the Cubs won the World Series. Parks and Rec co-creator Mike Schur personally wrote the line into the script, joking that he was "the only person on the staff who cared to track the Cubs minor league system".
