When asked to weigh in on the matter, 46% of the participants chose the GOP candidate and 38% stood behind the Democratic candidate.
While Trump’s numbers this time around remained much as they were in September’s poll, Clinton’s declined.
The ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted between October 30 and 31, amid the aftermath of FBI Director James Comey’s announcement that new emails possibly related to Clinton’s private sever issue may exist.
Despite the controversy, 55% of respondents said they anticipate a Clinton win.
According to the poll, the two major party candidates are now in a dead heat, with each receiving 46% of likely voters’ support.
