On Monday, President Obama suggested that if Hillary Clinton takes the White House, sexism will become the new birtherism.
He made the prediction during a Halloween appearance on ‘Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.’
After recalling the troubles Obama has faced at the hands of birthers, Bee asked what line of attack would likely be used against Hillary Clinton.
He replied, “I think the equivalent will be: ‘She’s tired. She’s moody. She’s being emotional.’”
Obama also commented, “When men are ambitious, it’s just taken for granted. ‘Well, of course, they should be ambitious.’ When women are ambitious, ‘Why?’ That theme, I think, will continue throughout her presidency, and it’s contributed to this notion that somehow she is hiding something.”
Obama and Bee went on to share some terrifying tales, including one in which Americans don’t get out and vote and Donald Trump becomes the next president of the United States.
