Can an iPhone 7 survive a 'space drop'?

Awesome footage has emerged of a tech vlogger dropping a brand new iPhone 7 from the "edge of space".
The video, filmed in and over California, USA last week, shows YouTuber TechRax building his weather balloon and attaching the phone to it.
He then launches the device, leaving the iPhone camera to capture the entire journey.
The footage it recorded is stunning, but a jet stream caught the balloon and blew it more than three hours away into some mountains.
"There ended up being a massive jet stream from launch site so the iPhone traveled approximately three hours away, and it took us another three hours to hike onto unknown mountains to retrieve this thing," he wrote online.
