Surveillance video shared by authorities shows the robber rifling through items on and around a desk.
He does so just a feet away from two children who are fast asleep.
The incident occurred on October 22 at about 1:30 in the morning.
The suspect caught on camera is described as being a roughly 5 foot 10 inch, black male believed to be in his early 20s.
Authorities say another suspect, described as a white man dressed in light-colored clothing, was standing in a doorway nearby and taking the items given to him by the other perpetrator.
Items known to be stolen include a .38 special revolver, credit cards, and a phone.
