The endorsement was made on Tuesday at the fall luncheon of the Long Island Association, reports the New York Times.
It was also reported that Powell had harsh words about Donald Trump, saying, if elected, he would push the U.S. back 50 years.
The New York Times quotes a boardmember - “He spoke about Trump's inexperience, he spoke about the messages that he’s sending out every day to his supporters, which really paints our country in a negative light across the globe with all our allies.”
