HOUSTON — A weird man tried to abduct a baby at an H-Mart in Houston, Texas earlier this month.
The incident took place on Oct. 15, when mom Florence Monauer was shopping for groceries, while her 14-month-old daughter sat in a shopping cart beside her.
Surveillance footage shows an unidentified man trying to take the baby girl from the cart while Monauer was not looking.
The baby was sitting in a seat cover strapped to the shopping cart, therefore the man couldn’t take her out easily, and Monauer noticed his actions.
Monauer calmly took the baby back, and the man left after tickling the child’s tummy.
Houston police are looking at the case as a possible attempted abduction, according to ABC affiliate KTRK. However, the man has not been identified or charged.
