WJBK reports that Larethia Haddon has filled her yard with references to a number of social issues, including racism, police brutality, and the Flint water crisis.
On display are 6 outfitted dummies.
One wearing a blood-covered hoodie stands next to sign reading, “My Hands Were Up.”
Another holds a jar of muck-filled liquid and the message, “Flint water. Nobody deserves this.”
Haddon says her grandchildren helped her create the display, each offering a suggestion for what the dummies should represent.
When speaking with M Live, she also noted they told her, “Grandma, we’re not afraid of the boogeyman anymore, we’re afraid of what’s going on in the world right now.”
