A wedding in New Hampshire had to be delayed after mother of the groom got lost.
New Hampshire, with its many lush wooded areas, is a delight to explore, but venturing out into the wilderness can present challenges.
A woman in the area for her son’s wedding learned that all too well, as she ended up lost and required the help of area authorities to find her way back to the rental property where she was staying.
The incident occurred over the weekend in Landaff.
State police received a call about the missing woman on Sunday.
Her family grew concerned as she had been gone for about 4 hours and the wedding ceremony was drawing near.
Both the police and officers with New Hampshire Fish and Game Department responded quickly and started their search.
Locating the woman took a few hours, but she was brought back unharmed.
Though the wedding had to be pushed back to much later in the day, all involved have quite a tale to tell.
